I was talking to my friend the other night and she suggested we go to see the NME tour when it comes to Liverpool. My immediate reaction was 'ew no'. Because I really usually can't be bothered with NME and most of the generic Kaiser Monkeys bands they churn out whilst slagging off indie bands I usually like eg Millburn and Maximo Park. Then I saw the lineup and changed my mind. What's wrong with me?!
Has NME started liking good bands or have I gone mad? All three of the bands below are playing and I like them.
Glasvegas- Geraldine - I really like Scottish bands, even if they're awful (which this isn't). It's the accent.
Friendly Fires- Paris - My friend Charl introduced me to these but when I downloaded this I recognised it from many Le Bateau nights out. It's really catchy.
Florence And The Machine- Kiss With A Fist - Adam found these. I'm not keen on female vocalists normally but I can overlook it here.
