Come on Usher

Scrap some of that last post- the medication arrived just after I originally posted it (although I did just edit the layout now), and I'm gradually adding it to his tank. So fingers crossed, touch wood, and pray God it works.

This fear's got a hold on me

Here's a song you might like. It sounds like the lovechild of the Arcade Fire and Snow Patrol.

White Lies- Death

Mess

I successfully messed up the HTML for the sidebar after getting it right with archive, previous posts, profile, and links all working... I'm going to try and fix it tomorrow because I'm just so annoyed with myself over it right now.

PS oh joys, I actually messed up the main column too. I'm going to have to start all over again. Why am I so retarded?

I don't think I'll ever be happy unless I'm unhappy and hugging my grudge

Here's one of my most played songs ever. The lyrics are genius and sum up my frequent enjoyment of wallowing in my own misery :D

It's off their rather unpopular album, The Best Party Ever, which in my opinion is lovely- not in a mindblowing way but what does that matter? I listen to it on a regular basis and I've had it for two years, which says a lot.

Also, how cute is the album cover?!

Happy birthday Chris Kirkpatrick of 'N Sync?!

Kanye has leaked another un-mastered track from upcoming album 808s & Heartbreak. Just like Love Lockdown, he's using the auto-tuner thing again, which I don't enjoy. I like this track even less than Love Lockdown which I think is as bland as Ethel Austin knickers.

Although I'm sure Kanye's devastated it's leaked, it'll undoubtedly hype up the album release even more... I wonder what Jay-Z thinks of that!

Kanye West- Coldest Winter (the link is to the file on Mediafire, my FTP is being a shithound!)

Are we human or are we dancers?

PS. I almost forgot, here's the new Killers single for those of you who don't already have it in your Itunes and your head... shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes...

The Killers- Human

Their new album is out in November which means they'll be all popular again soon, smeared over radio and TV and clubs and bars and so on - so I'd get lapping before they're supped dry!

Let's make love and listen to Death From Above?

I don't want this to get as neglected as Gordon Ramsey's wrinkle cream, so here's an update.

For anyone who liked Death From Above 1979 when they were around, you'll be pleased to know their charmingly crazed vocalist and drummer, Sebastien Grainger, is lurching forward into a solo career and I have a few tracks off his new album- Sebastien Grainger & the Mountains. So here's three for your listening pleasure.

Sebastien Grainger- Love Can Be So Mean
Sebastien Grainger- Who Do We Care For
Sebastien Grainger- By Cover Of Night (Fire Fight)

I don't know if I like them yet but they're worth a listen. Also Liam is going to die in Corrie, which is quite depressing. So I'd better go and watch that.

Oh HTML, how I love thee.

I'm filled with, as Blur might say, an enormous sense of wellbeing. Perhaps I should've done web design at uni. There's really nothing better than getting your HTML tags nicely sorted and your website a myriad of beautiful colours.

So, as this is supposed to be a non-personal (when do I ever refrain from talking about moi?!) blog, here is a little song for anyone (ie like 3 people) who may be reading this and thinking 'wow, Caroline actually has no life'.

Fountains of Wayne- Sink to the Bottom. This is off Fountains of Wayne's self-titled 1996 debut album- yes, they were around before they tainted their image with Stacey's horrific mother- and it's really nice I think. They've changed a lot since then, so here's an example of their latest offerings, from their 2007 album Traffic and Weather, which everyone should definitely buy as it's brilliant: Fountains of Wayne- 92 Subaru.

Songs will expire after one week. Please right click and choose 'save as' and don't stream them or my bandwidth will turn your mum into a pumpkin.

Ok, enjoy, I'm off to wash my hair. x

P.S. I finally figured out what was wrong with my Last FM scrobbling program- it was trying to connect through my old Lancaster IP, so it's fixed and fine now, check it out here! Please ignore any embarrassing songs though...

Success!

I've completely redone Hemhem today, the poor thing was getting quite neglected. So I've integrated this blog, which was most definitely easier said than done, and I have redesigned the whole colour scheme of the site. Phew. It only took 4 hours of my valuable time but I feel like I've been doing it for 100 years and I still can't get it to show my mini profile thing on here, but whatever, I suppose that's unimportant. Maybe.

Well, sad news today in the Echo, apparently everyone's favourite slightly overpriced but nice fashion and costume jewellery shop, Mikey, has gone bust. What a shame.

Oh, tea is on the table apparently. It never is on the table if I go down straight away, they tell me 5 minutes in advance.

Bye x
